Biography

Sharyn Beodeker received her BFA in Photography from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and is currently studying in Columbus, Ohio at the Columbus College of Art and Design in pursuit of her MFA .  Most of her former work is comprised of digital photographs, largely inspired by the exploration and abstraction of the female form with direct reference to artists such as Andre Kertesz, Harry Callahan, Janine Antoni, and Connie Imboden.  She most recently completed a residency at Kutztown University in the Fall of 2015.  Currently she is exploring using photography as a tool in combination with traditional craft practices to explore concepts inspired by feminist ideals.
